(WAOW) – Governor Tony Evers announced Wednesday that $18 million is available through the Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) to help families in Wisconsin pay water bills.

Eligibility for water utility assistance is based on household income, size, and the household’s water and utility burden.

Residents can be eligible if they earn 60% of the state median income level or less.
